[Q] What is this game about? [A] This is a RPG based on the children of Harry Potter canon characters. It's a social game, during James Potter's seventh year at Hogwarts, so the ages go respectively that way. It's basically about teenage angst, sexuality, social relationships, dating, and all that comes with it. [Q] Who are the mods, and how can I reach them? [A] There are two mods, Katie, and Jules! Who they play is listed on the contact page. Katie can be reached on AIM at katieloudxo, and Jules can be reached on AIM at corbexx. They both have modded MANY other games, including Potterverse games. [Q] What year does this game take place? [A] 2024. [Q] I want to join! What do I do first? [A] Well, first you go and take a look at the Parent Page and Taken Character Page. Find the character you would like, and comment there with a hold! [Q] How long are holds? [A] Three days, please try to get them up! If you are having a problem and need an extension, just comment and let us know! [Q] How exactly is the game run? [A] We’re fairly lenient, but we do have rules! Please check them out. [Q] I’m not really sure about something and I’m scared to ask a question! [A] Really, don’t be! You can ask any question you have; remember, there are no stupid questions! And it’s always better than assuming. Both Jules and Katie are always available to answer your questions, so either IM one of us, or a drop a comment here. We’ll help you out! [Q] I don’t really know the parent that was given to my character! [A] Well, take a look at the HP Lexicon Every possible character is on there, so no matter who it is, you can find a basis of who they are. IF they have a symbol next to it that indicates they were either a Muggle, a Durmstrang, Beauxbaton’s, or foreign/home schooled Witch or Wizard, that just means we made them up. So, that means you can make them up as much as you need! [Q] My character has siblings that are in game already! [A] Well, all the contact information is usually listed in the journal of that character, so contact them! We’re all friendly, and if we want our families to flow, we should be open to discussion with our prospective siblings! [Q] My character is all done! What do I do? [A] Now you go comment the link to your application in the application page, and wait for the mods to get back to you! We’ll be on top of it, so don’t worry. It won’t take forever! And PLEASE, make sure you’ve read the rules and everything is done! [Q] I got accepted! Now what? [A] First, request to be added to the communities! We’ll get right to that, and once we do, introduce yourself! Obviously, that’s what the OOC community is for. Let us know who you are and who your character is. [Q] I need storylines! [A] Well, once again, that’s what the OOC community is for. You’ll let us know if your character has an ex or two, and we’ll comment and fill those. And that is also what OOC AIM names are for, too. Get to know your players and that way, you can plot. After that, it’s up to you to go and advertise for specific roles you are in need of filling. [Q] What do Prefects and Heads do? [A] They are the students chosen from each house and year that the Head Master/Mistress sees fit for the job. They are able to take points from whomever is breaking the school rules. Only the Head Girl and Boy are allowed to take points and detention. Of course, they are expected to abide by all the rules, have Prefect rounds at night, and to give equality to all students, no matter who is who, and only if they are actually breaking the rules. [Q] Who are the Professors? [A]There is a Professor list, with pictures to put faces to names, for your reference. It is a complete list of who teaches what, who the Head Master/Mistress and Deputy Head Master/Mistress is, Librarian, Heads of Houses, Nurse, and Caretaker. [Q] I have a problem with a player! [A] Please, come to a Mod. If you and a player are having a problem and it is affecting others, we are going to have to deal with it best we can. First we can do is handle it out of the community, between the mods and the players. If there is a bigger problem, you and/or the other player may be asked to leave. [Q] How does time work? [A] Basically May = November. [Q] What exactly is the rooming situation? [A] There are 5 people per dorm. [Q] Can I play a gay or bi-sexual player? [A] That depends on how many we have in game. We want to keep it realistic, not everyone at Hogwarts is gay. We will allow a couple gay characters.
